Episode starts with Gaurav explaining to Aditya that he did not feel towards women what other men did...he felt that way about a man...a man who he loved dearly. That was the reason he could only give Vidya respect...worry about her even...but not love her...ever! As a stunned Aditya listens, Gaurav adds that the guy he was in love with was in trouble and needed his help before rushing away.
Inside the house, Chinu comes downstairs as a restless Priya is pacing. Priya acknowledges that what Chinu had told her was the truth but still feels that what he was doing was not right...even though Gaurav had encouraged it. Priya's explains that this was wrong especially given that Vidya was unaware of it but Chinu insists that she would find out eventually...he would tell her. Priya demands that Chinu do no such thing but Chinu replies by asking if Vidya did not have the right to find love. Priya responds that this was not Chinu's problem and adds that although things were not ok in Gaurav and Vidya's marriage and the couple did not likely love each other, such things happened often in arranged marriages and it took time to build love and understanding. She is confident that everything would work out and also informs Chinu that Aditya was talking to Gaurav to help resolve the issues. Hearing this Chinu replies that Aditya would not be able to get Gaurav to change his mind.
Outside, Aditya recalls Gaurav's words and just stands there shocked. He flashes back to an incident in their youth when the two were loitering outside Rohtak college on Aditya's jeep. Seeing Aditya looking at a girl, Gaurav encourages him to "be a man" and approach her with a rose and an invitation to watch DDLJ. Aditya heeds the advice and asks the girl out clumsily leading to being slapped in return. C [...]
